Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Data Services
to join its
Technology Operations Center
. This position is
100% onsite in Plano, TX
, and offers the opportunity to work within a high-performing

The ideal candidate combines a strong
data engineering background
with
SRE principles
, applying automation, monitoring, and incident prevention to ensure the stability and performance of enterprise data platforms and pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts to maintain high availability, performance, and stability of enterprise data systems and integrations.
  • Manage and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and orchestration workflows using tools such as Autosys, Informatica, and Airflow.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python or Shell to support proactive monitoring, alerting, and incident prevention.
  • Write and tune SQL queries for data validation, transformation, and troubleshooting.
  • Support data warehousing environments and ensure efficient data flow across systems.
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to integrate observability and performance metrics into data services.
  • Monitor data-related workflows using observability tools such as Datadog or Dynatrace.
  • Conduct incident reviews and contribute to ongoing reliability and performance improvements.
  • Maintain documentation for data processes, automation scripts, and reliability frameworks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data operations, or data reliability roles.
  • Proficiency with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, DataStage, Talend, etc.).
  • Strong command of SQL and experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Hands-on scripting experience in Python or Shell.
  • Experience with Autosys for job scheduling and workflow monitoring.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud data services (e.g., RDS, Redshift, S3).
  • Understanding of SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incident management, and automation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake or other modern cloud data warehouses.
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog or Dynatrace.
  • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent understanding of IT service management.
  • Informatica and AWS Data Certifications.
  • Exposure to DevOps tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
