Position Overview

We're seeking a PGx Laboratory Technician to join our pharmacogenomics division. In this hands-on lab role, you'll help prepare and process samples, perform DNA extractions, set up PCR reactions, and operate MALDI-TOF instrumentation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about precision medicine and laboratory science.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and process biological samples for PGx testing.
  • Perform DNA extraction, quantification, and PCR setup.
  • Operate MALDI-TOF instrumentation and assist with post-run data review.
  • Accurately document lab activities and update the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
  • Follow established SOPs and maintain quality standards.
  • Communicate with Operations and other departments to support efficient workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or related field.
  • Minimum 6 months of lab experience (molecular/genetics preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable handling biological specimens and working in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule & Pay

  • Hours: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (32 hours/week, full-time).
  • Pay: $24/hour starting, $26/hour upon successful completion of the 90-day probationary period.
