Our Advancement Team builds and sustains critical external partnerships, secures institutional funding, and ensures compliance with Government, Foundation, and Corporate funders. We are growing—and seeking a detail-oriented, systems-minded professional to join us.
Position SummaryAoH is seeking an exceptional Grants Systems Specialist to manage pre- and post-award grant operations, compliance, reporting, and data systems across a diverse portfolio of institutional funders. Reporting to the Director of Development, this role supports cross-departmental collaboration, maintains AoH's grant reporting calendars and CRM systems, and ensures federal, state, and local compliance for all awards.

Key ResponsibilitiesGrant Operations & Administration
Develop and manage efficient operational systems for grant deliverables.
Maintain and track all reporting and proposal deadlines in AoH's CRM.
Coordinate cross-functional workflows for proposals, reporting, payments, and compliance documentation.
Review, process, and submit grant modifications, program changes, and funder-requested updates.
Provide quarterly training to staff on grant requirements, compliance expectations, and internal processes.
Draft grant management tools, protocols, timelines, and briefing materials.
Close out completed grants, ensuring all required documents are submitted.Financial Compliance
Interpret and communicate funder requirements (federal, state, local).
Prepare budget worksheets, narratives, and financial components of grant applications.
Set up grant budgets in finance systems and support ongoing monitoring.
Produce financial reports, spending projections, and compliance documentation.
Assist with the annual audit as needed.Grant Data & Systems Management
Serve as System Administrator for the grants and contract management system.
Maintain AoH's donor database (Salesforce preferred), ensuring accurate and complete grant records.
Generate dashboards, reports, and grant activity summaries for leadership.
Support performance evaluation staff with data entry and reporting.Other Duties
Perform additional tasks aligned with the needs of the Advancement and Finance teams.Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Nonprofit Management, Education, Public Policy, or a closely related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in grant management, nonprofit operations, or compliance work.
Demonstrated experience managing grants across multiple funding sources (Government, Foundation, Corporate).
Federal grants management experience is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficiency with grants management systems; Salesforce experience strongly preferred.
Experience with EGMS or similar compliance platforms.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
High-level analytical skills with the ability to interpret grant requirements, budgets, and performance data.

AoH offers a competitive salary within the range of $58,082.75 – $99,651.53 for this position. Salary placement within this range is determined by a candidate's relevant experience, demonstrated competencies, and alignment with the required qualifications.
