Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in housekeeping management and custodial services, with a focus on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various settings, including hotels and hospitality environments. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are welcoming, clean, and well-maintained for all guests and staff.

Duties

  • Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
  • Manage floor care, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces.
  • Must be able to stand and work for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds. Must be able to operate a vacuum and cleaning tools.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests for additional services or items.
  • Assist in the training of new housekeeping staff on best practices and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in housekeeping or related fields such as hospitality or industrial cleaning is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
