The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) is the agency charged with licensing and regulating State of Florida businesses and professionals, such as cosmetologists, veterinarians, condominiums, hotels, and restaurants. The Work You Will Do:

This position is located within the Bureau of Compliance of the Division of Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes. It is an in-office position is a part of the education team, and is responsible for providing education to the public, presenting material to the public relating to the division's jurisdictional areas, creating and updating new and existing materials for the public, as well as materials for internal training, participating in public seminars, reviewing for approval of board member certification course materials and conducting public outreach.

Your Specific Responsibilities:

The incumbent in this position is responsible for educating the public regarding condominium, cooperative and timeshare associations. This includes:

  • Creating PowerPoint presentations that include educational material regarding the Division's program areas;
  • Speaking with constituents in person and telephonically to provide education regarding the Division's program areas;
  • Conducting outreach to the surrounding areas regarding the education program;
  • Presenting to the public in-person and virtually;
  • Assisting with the development of the Division's brochures, manuals, newsletters, and educational materials.
  • Assisting with the research, preparation, and dissemination of educational materials.
  • Communicating with the supervisor on a daily basis.
  • Performing other work as required.
  • Conducts travel.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Two years' experience in training and/or conducting investigations; 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. 
  • Proficient in using Word, Excel, Division's case management and document management systems.
  •  Knowledge of the provisions of chapters 326, 718, 719, 721 and 723, Florida Statutes, and the related Florida Administrative Code. 
  • Ability to assist with research, prepare, review and disseminate educational materials. 
  • Ability to share information in a training situation.

Preference will be given to applicants:

  • With presenting to the public.
  • With strong technical skills.
  • Who is bilingual in both English and Spanish.
