While we currently focus primarily on the HME (Home Medical Equipment) and DME (Durable Medical Equipment) industries, we are exploring and developing additional applications of our solutions to broader problems within healthcare, finance, and beyond.
Position Summary: The Senior Site Reliability Engineer is vital for ensuring the availability and security of our infrastructure which supports our Intelligent Document Processing services. Reporting to the VP of Site Reliability Engineering, the Senior Site Reliability Engineer will work closely with the Engineering and Product teams to secure, operate, and scale our SaaS services to meet business goals. Their success will be measured by their ability to design and implement these strategies, ensure reliability, and continuously improve our system performance.
Job Duties:
Infrastructure
Ensure optimal availability of our SaaS platform for all users by maintaining and upgrading infrastructure.Design and implement infrastructure solutions that adhere to industry best practices for scalability, reliability, and observability.Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions like Terraform and the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) to build consistently configured and repeatable systems.Performance Management
Continuously monitor system performance and proactively address issues to meet and exceed service-level objectives (SLOs) and service-level agreements (SLAs).Diagnose and remediate production issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption.Participate in an on-call rotation with other team members to ensure reliable systems operations.Software Engineering Collaboration
Influence software design and architecture decisions as the subject matter expert on infrastructure, promoting best practices and system performance.Collaborate with development teams to integrate security and reliability best practices into the software development lifecycle.Process Development & Improvement
Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including runbooks, system and network diagrams to support ongoing operations.Develop and maintain automation tools and frameworks to streamline operations and enhance system security, including automated patching, security scans, and compliance checks.Document and conduct post-mortem analyses to prevent future incidents and improve system stability.Security & Compliance
Implement and manage security policies and controls to protect sensitive data in compliance with HIPAA, SOC 2 Type II, and other relevant compliance requirements.Conduct regular system audits to ensure and verify compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.Manage relationships with software and hardware vendors to ensure they meet the security and compliance standards required for the healthcare industry.Disaster Recovery
Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans, ensuring rapid recovery capabilities in case of a cybersecurity incident or physical disasters.Regularly test and update DR plans to adapt to new threats and business needs.Device Management
Maintain the device management platforms used to provision and configure staff computing devices.Support company owned end-user computing devices for staff when needed, including onboarding and offboarding.Required Qualifications:
5 or more years of operating 24/7/365 production customer facing SaaS services.Proven experience in building and supporting customer-facing SaaS applications on Linux platforms (Debian and RedHat flavors).Skilled in utilizing major cloud service providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) for infrastructure management.Experienced in developing and managing CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions or similar tools like Jenkins.Two or more years experience with Terraform, including building modules and scaling to support development teams.Familiar with version control systems, specifically Git.Strong background in system monitoring using observability platforms such as Datadog, and AWS CloudWatchKnowledgeable in both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.Effective in programming or scripting languages such as Go, Python, Bash.Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.Must live in the U.S. or U.S. Territories.Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.In-depth experience with AWS-specific services including IAM, VPC, EC2, ECS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch.Use of security platforms like SentinelOne or CrowdStrike.Salary
The salary range for this job is $165,000 - $200,000 per year.
