About the Role:
The Server A La Carte position at the Main Clubhouse plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests by providing attentive, personalized, and professional service. This role requires a deep understanding of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to confidently guide guests through their dining choices and accommodate special requests or dietary restrictions. The server is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate order taking, coordinating with kitchen and bar staff, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment throughout the dining area. By anticipating guest needs and responding promptly to inquiries or concerns, the server helps foster a positive atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and enhances the club's reputation. Ultimately, this position contributes directly to guest satisfaction and the overall success of the hospitality team at the Main Clubhouse.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality service role, preferably in an a la carte dining environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal training or certification in hospitality or food service.
- Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management software.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation to assist guests with beverage selections.
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously, providing menus and explaining daily specials or promotions.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all guest preferences and dietary restrictions are noted and communicated to the kitchen.
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner while maintaining proper presentation and quality standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, addressing any issues or requests promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including table settings and service stations.
- Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and electronic transactions with integrity.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
