*Position Overview:*
KPS Alarms and KPS Fire Sprinklers are leaders in California's Fire Sprinkler and Low-Voltage (Fire Alarms, Access Control, Camera Systems, Structured Network Wiring, and other low-voltage technologies) installation and service industries. We are seeking Fire Alarm Estimator and CAD Designer to help support our teams to continue growth in our Southern and Northern California commercial divisions.

As a systems estimator/designer, be directly involved in working with our winning team to help win and support our customers' in the areas of fire alarm, security alarms, access control solutions, camera systems, audio/video systems, and job site surveillance solutions to apartment builders, multi-family builders, and general contractors.

*Requirements:*

  • A good understanding of NFPA 72 requirements.
  • CAD drafting experience in the Fire Alarm field.
  • Able to do system take-offs and estimating for project bids for operations to review and approve.
  • Able to run voltage calcs and prepare plans for complete submission.
  • Able to work with jurisdictions on changes and requirements.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support throughout the entire process.
  • Collaborate with the installation and service teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and product knowledge to effectively help position KPS Alarms' as a key partner to our builders.

*Preferred Qualifications:*

  • DMP and Mircom experience.
  • NICET Level 1
  • Access Control, Camera Systems, and Networking experience.
  • A driven builder and go-getter with high career goals.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to understand technical product details and communicate them effectively to clients.
