I'm working with a well-established firm in Boston that is seeking a full-time Finance Associate to join its growing team. This position is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who enjoys hands-on work and exposure to a wide range of business and financial functions. Discretion and confidentiality are critical, as the Finance Associate will work closely with sensitive client information. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently while also contributing as part of a small, close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support investment and financial operations, including portfolio tracking, reconciliation, and record maintenance
  • Assist with performance reporting and basic analysis
  • Provide administrative and analytical support related to estate, trust, and tax planning activities
  • Help prepare individual tax filings and supporting documentation (training provided)
  • Assist with budgeting, cash flow tracking, and monthly financial reviews
  • Support small business and entrepreneurial activities tied to client entities, including bookkeeping and system setup
  • Maintain organized digital records and work within a paperless, technology-forward environment
  • Utilize Excel and other financial tools extensively for analysis and reporting
  • Uphold strict confidentiality standards across all client-related work

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Up to 2 years of relevant professional experience (including internships or entry-level roles)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to think critically, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Professional demeanor with a strong sense of discretion and accountability
