THE ROLE

CHY Accounting & Tax Inc. seeks an energetic and enthusiastic Senior Accountant. This position offers an excellent opportunity to expand and refine your technical skills into a variety of areas, while receiving top quality training and mentorship. The preferred start date is December 1, 2025.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare corporate, partnership and personal income tax returns.
  • Perform tax and accounting research.
  • Prepare financial statements, including required note disclosures.
  • Perform bookkeeping and account reconciliations for various clients.
  • Process payroll for various clients, including health and benefit account management.
  • Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances (including bank reconciliations) for various clients.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding routine questions and collect necessary information for the engagement.
  • Prepare financial models, budgets, and cash projections for businesses in various industries.
  • Analyze financial statements and company processes to support business expansion, product profitability, and segment growth.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES

  • CPA designation.
  • 2-4 years of experience (with experience at a public accounting firm preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Tax research, planning and compliance experience (corporate and personal) preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented.
  • Enthusiastic, willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and project tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other related accounting software platforms (including tax related software).
