We're seeking a
dynamic and visionary Director of Perioperative Services
to lead our perioperative services with excellence, innovation, and compassion. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned perioperative leader who thrives on advancing quality outcomes, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring the highest standards of patient-centered care.
About the Role
As the Director, you will be held accountable 24 hours a day for the strategic and operational management of the Operating Room (OR), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Same-Day
Surgery (SDS)
departments. You will guide your teams in delivering exceptional surgical and recovery experiences while fostering collaboration with medical leadership, including the Chief of Surgery, Chief of Anesthesia, and Division Chiefs across surgical specialties.

patient safety, quality outcomes, staff engagement, and operational performance
, ensuring our perioperative services exceed expectations at every level.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Operations:
- Oversee patient care delivery across OR, PACU, and SDS 24/7.
- Lead staff development, workflow optimization, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams to improve care outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Implement strategies for advancing perioperative safety and efficiency.
- Fiscal & Resource Management:
- Develop and manage human, operational, and capital budgets.
- Analyze fiscal performance and implement plans to achieve financial targets.
- Leverage data and outcome metrics to inform decisions and improve operations.
- Regulatory & Environmental Management:
- Ensure compliance with
AORN
and
ASPAN
standards and accreditation requirements. - Maintain readiness for regulatory reviews and audits.
- Lead facility improvement and technology implementation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education:
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) required. - Experience:
Minimum of
3–5 years
in an
Operating Room leadership
role. - Licensure:
Active RN license in
Arkansas, Mississippi, or Tennessee
(or eligibility). - Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
– American Heart Association - One or more of the following preferred:
- Nurse Executive (NE-BC)
- Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC)
- Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML)
- Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP)
