Job Description:

  • We are looking for a Data Owner with experience in data governance, management, and APIs/events to support financial services initiatives.
  • The role involves reviewing and maintaining data models, APIs, and event metadata, ensuring compliance with governance standards, and collaborating with business and technology teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3 years in data governance or data management (internships/project experience acceptable)
  • Knowledge of APIs (REST, GraphQL, OpenAPI/Swagger) and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka)
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM)
  • Awareness of data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in financial services
  • Exposure to API/event management tools (Apigee, Kafka) or data catalog tools (Collibra, Alation)
  • Certification in data governance or compliance

Responsibilities:

  • Review and maintain data models, APIs, and events
  • Ensure governance standards compliance
  • Prepare reports and dashboards on governance metrics
  • Support training and awareness of data governance best practices
