Summary
The Engineering Systems Intern supports the Engineering Systems Manager and Engineering Design teams in the design and development of the new Times Engineering Design Hub—an internal, web-based collection of standardized engineering design calculators and tools shared across the Times Engineering organization. This work includes recreating, testing, and validating multiple design calculation tools used throughout the design process, followed by their integration into the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.

Additional responsibilities include supporting the launch and training of newly introduced tools, with an emphasis on cross-department communication and collaboration. The intern will also assist in evaluating productivity gains resulting from Engineering Systems tools.

This is a full-time, on-site internship for Summer 2026.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Employ a continuous improvement mindset to an examination of the Master Engineering Process Flow.
  • Support engineering design tool development and implementation.
  • Improve and automate process flows within the PLM structure.
  • Identify additional automation opportunities.
  • Assist with data collection, verification, digitization & archival where applicable.
  • Explore AI Opportunities applicable to our Business.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Engineering or Computer Science student or recent graduate, rising Senior preferred
  • Strong Working knowledge of SQL, Excel, VBA
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks preferred
  • Extremely well-organized with superior attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.
