REPRODUCTIVE ENDOCRINOLOGIST CONSULTANT

Ollie Perinatal

Location: Virtual/Remote

Position Type: Independent Contractor

Hourly Rate: $250/hour

Commitment: Flexible hours based on project needs, 2 hrs/week initially; ideal for a physician with an existing FT position

ABOUT OLLIE PERINATAL

Ollie Perinatal is dedicated to groundbreaking innovation and investment in perinatal loss support and care. We are a highly specialized, multi-disciplinary perinatal loss support platform designed to provide therapeutic and medical education, services, and support just in time, as birthing people and families experience perinatal loss. Our therapeutic and medical strategy is guided by our core belief that, for most birthing people, perinatal loss is child loss. The platform is best described as a guided Masterclass or Ted Talk series integrated with a coaching app focused on the key medical and therapeutic activities, written materials, and personalized support needed to thrive again after perinatal loss.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Ollie Perinatal is seeking a board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist to serve as a medical consultant for content development related to pregnancy loss investigation and infertility. This virtual consulting role will involve collaborating with our team to create accurate, compassionate, and evidence-based educational materials for individuals and families experiencing infertility and pregnancy loss.

The ideal candidate will bring deep clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to helping families understand complex reproductive health topics in accessible, supportive ways. This is an excellent opportunity to build your clinical practice through enhanced patient visibility with the potential for greater national reach than is possible in clinical practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide expert medical review of educational content related to perinatal loss and infertility evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment options written by a team of experienced WHNPs
  • Ensure all content is medically accurate, current with latest research and clinical guidelines, and appropriate for diverse audiences
  • Develop and review content addressing pregnancy loss investigation, including recurrent pregnancy loss workup and evidence-based interventions
  • Collaborate with content creators, writers, and designers to translate complex medical concepts into patient-friendly materials

KEY CLINICAL EXPERIENCE AND INTEREST

Demonstrated experience integrating first line reproductive immune testing and immune-modulatory treatment protocols with standard fertility management. Knowledge of when to include reproductive immunology specialists for more advanced cases.

Proficient in the diagnosis and management of luteal phase deficiency, including utilization of serial mid-luteal serum progesterone assessments and application of targeted hormonal support to optimize endometrial receptivity and implantation outcomes.

Adheres to the principle that all early pregnancy losses warrant cytogenetic evaluation to elucidate underlying etiologies and guide future reproductive planning.

Proficient or desire to become proficient in first line immune-modulatory treatment needs and increased progesterone supplementation for patients with endometriosis and/or adenomyosis. Knowledge of the emerging evidence showing endometriosis as a multi-system disease with immune dysfunction and in need of treatment beyond hormone suppression alone.

No prior content development or on-screen experience is required

Quality Assurance

  • Review all medical content for accuracy, completeness, and compassionate tone
  • Where relevant, ensure content aligns with current ASRM (American Society for Reproductive Medicine) and other relevant professional guidelines
  • Identify potential gaps in educational materials and recommend additional topics

Video Content Creation

  • Participate in filming educational video content for various platforms and audiences with a professional video production team
  • Present on-camera with professionalism, warmth, and clarity when explaining reproductive endocrinology topics, including medical concepts, procedures, treatment options, and decision-making frameworks
  • Address common questions and concerns from patients in Q&A format videos and short educational modules
  • Review and provide feedback on video scripts prior to filming
  • Be comfortable being filmed and recorded for educational videos, webinars, and online courses

All filming will occur over a few days, be scheduled with advance notice and completed in New York, NY. We provide guidance and support for video recording, and you'll have the opportunity to review content before it's published. Your professionalism, warmth, and ability to communicate complex topics clearly on camera are essential to helping us reach and support families in need.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI)
  • Current, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in reproductive endocrinology and infertility

WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE

  • This is a fully remote position
  • Flexible scheduling based on project timelines and content development needs
  • Hours vary depending on active projects; typically 5-15 hours per month with potential for more during peak content development periods
  • Advance notice provided for video recording sessions
  • Most work can be completed asynchronously with periodic virtual meetings

COMPENSATION & CONTRACT DETAILS

  • Independent contractor position at $250 per hour
  • Paid for actual hours worked, including content review, video filming, meetings, and consultation
  • Flexible engagement based on organizational needs and content pipeline
  • Initial contract term with opportunity for ongoing collaboration
