Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those with disabilities or memory care needs. Home Care Workers will work closely with clients to ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being in a home or group home setting.

Duties

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Monitor and document client health status and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, including those with memory care requirements.
  • Utilize CPR and First Aid skills when necessary to ensure client safety.
  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, family members, and other caregivers to provide comprehensive care.

Requirements

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a group home setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CPR and First Aid certification is highly desirable.
  • Ability to assist with medication administration and understanding of basic medical terminology.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for caring for others.
  • Must be able to maintain a clean environment while providing care.
  • Previous experience in memory care or similar fields is a plus.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
