Job Summary: 

A Barn Salesperson is responsible for managing inbound customer inquiries and guiding customers through the selection and customization of stock model  and custom barns, garages, and other various post frame structures. This role requires coordination with internal and external teams to ensure a smooth sale and build process. Proficiency in CRM systems and CAD software is expected. A basic understanding of residential and post-frame construction is preferred, with a willingness to learn if needed. Strong attention to detail, creativity, and communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications:

•    1+ years of sales experience preferred, specifically in construction, real estate, or agriculture.

•    High school diploma or GED equivalent required; college degree in business or any other applicable degrees preferred.

•    Familiarity with residential construction and general building codes, or strong willingness to learn.

•    Experience with post-frame or barndominium construction is a plus.

•    Proficiency with CRM software, preferably Zoho.

•    Basic knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred but not required.

•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills – a natural "people person."

•    Ability to listen actively and empathize with customer's needs.

•    Attention to detail and organizational excellence.

•    Creative problem-solving skills to customize floor plans and designs.

•    Self-motivated with a results driven approach.

•    Ability to manage multiple client accounts and timelines simultaneously.

•    Comfortable with technology and learning new systems.

•    Strong follow-up and negotiation skills.

•    Adaptable and open to continuous improvement and learning.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Respond promptly and professionally to inbound inquiries.

•    Guide potential customers through our stock model options and customization opportunities.

•    Provide accurate information regarding pricing, materials, building timelines, and design options.

•    Use CRM software to manage leads, document interactions, and follow up consistently.

•    Work in collaboration with the Sales Manager and internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met.

•    Maintain up-to-date knowledge on industry trends, construction codes, and product offerings.

•    Participate in regular sales meetings, team training, and personal development sessions.

•    Contribute to a positive team culture by embodying our core values and strengths.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

•    Primarily an office-based role with potential occasional travel to job sites or vendor locations.

•    Must have the ability to type proficiently, formulate professional email and text correspondence, and be presentable and well-groomed at all times when meeting with customers.

•    Must be able to sit at a computer for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day.

•    Must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time, as needed during site visits.

•    Regular participation in team meetings and professional development sessions.

•    Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with ever-changing priorities.

•    Must have the ability to lift up to 50lbs on rare occasions.
