About the Role

We are seeking a skilled M365 Cloud Engineer to join our growing M365 team. The M365 Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of Microsoft 365 and Azure-based infrastructure solutions across NetCov's client environments. This role is hands-on and project-driven, focusing on delivering secure, scalable, and reliable cloud services, such as Exchange Online migrations, Intune deployments, OneDrive and SharePoint Migrations, and Azure AD integrations.

This position requires strong technical expertise, an understanding of security and compliance in the Microsoft ecosystem, and the ability to work in a fast-paced MSP environment serving clients in regulated industries like finance and healthcare.

Accountabilities

• Microsoft 365 & Azure Architecture
• Design and implement Microsoft 365 solutions including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, OneDrive, Defender, and others.
• Architect and deploy Azure infrastructure solutions, including Azure AD, identity and access management
• Plan and execute migrations from on-prem or legacy systems to Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud platforms.
• Implement conditional access policies, MFA, and role-based access controls (RBAC) in line with industry standards and client compliance needs.
• Client-Facing Implementation & Support
• Engage with clients to gather requirements, assess environments, and deliver tailored M365 cloud solutions.
• Provide technical leadership on projects such as tenant consolidations, endpoint management (Intune), data loss prevention (DLP), and identity federation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in collaboration with support teams and third-party vendors.
• Assist with onboarding and long-term support for client Microsoft environments post-deployment.
• Security & Compliance
• Ensure that M365 and Azure configurations align with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, CMMC, etc.).
• Deploy Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Endpoint, and Identity Protection solutions to secure tenant environments.
• Support compliance features such as eDiscovery, retention policies, information protection, and auditing.
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
• Develop and maintain documentation for all implementations including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and SOPs.
• Conduct knowledge transfer and training for internal teams and client IT staff when applicable.
• Continuous Improvement & Tooling
• Stay up to date on Microsoft 365 and Azure roadmap changes, licensing models, and security innovations.
• Identify opportunities to optimize existing M365 implementations for cost, performance, and governance.
• Support internal efforts to standardize and templatize cloud deployments across the client base.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Education & Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in Microsoft infrastructure roles with a focus on M365 and Azure technologies.
• Experience delivering technical projects in a client-facing or MSP environment.
• Demonstrated experience migrating, securing, and supporting M365 tenants at scale.
• Technical Skills
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS), and cybersecurity principles.
• Strong understanding of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Azure AD, and Microsoft Defender.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting and automation within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Working knowledge of identity federation (e.g., ADFS, Azure AD Connect), hybrid environments, and DNS.
• Familiarity with Microsoft compliance and data governance tools.
• Skills & Certifications
• Microsoft certifications such as MS-100, MS-101, AZ-104, or MS-500.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
