Assistant General Manager – Baseball & Softball Training Facility

Location: Columbus

Job Type: Full-Time | Salary: Competitive, Based on Experience

Are you a motivated leader with a passion for baseball and softball? We are seeking an Assistant General Manager to help oversee daily operations, drive business growth, and enhance the customer experience at our state-of-the-art indoor training facility.

This role offers a unique opportunity to provide private baseball or softball lessons, allowing you to stay involved in player development while managing facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:Facility & Operations Management

Maintain and organize the Pro Shop (inventory, sales signage, and product management).

Oversee facility maintenance, cleanliness, and equipment upkeep (machines, nets, balls).

Implement and improve standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency.

Staff & Instructor Management

Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling front desk staff and instructors.

Manage staff time clocks, payroll approvals, and performance evaluations.

Support hitting leagues, team packages, and instructor assignments.

Customer Experience & Membership Management

Oversee lesson scheduling, membership sign-ups, renewals, and cancellations.

Handle membership payment declines, pricing adjustments, and customer inquiries.

Monitor emails and voicemails, ensuring timely responses to clients.

Sales, Marketing & Business Growth

Assist in developing and maintaining partnerships with local leagues, teams, and schools.

Help market camps, clinics, and programs through social media and direct outreach.

Drive revenue growth by promoting memberships, lessons, and team training packages.

Baseball & Softball Instruction (Optional but Encouraged)

Provide private and group baseball or softball lessons for athletes of all ages.

Work with players on hitting, pitching, fielding, and overall skill development.

Contribute to camps, clinics, and team training sessions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience in sports, fitness, or customer service.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in sales, marketing, or customer relations is a plus.

Passion for baseball, softball, and player development.

Coaching or playing experience at the high school, college, or professional level is a plus.
