Position OverviewAs a Warehouse Supervisor at Kristen Distributing Company, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective performance of all warehousing activities, maintaining high standards of productivity, safety, and accuracy. Your leadership will be vital in training and managing warehouse staff, coordinating with other departments, and continuously seeking ways to improve processes and operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Warehouse Oversight: Supervise daily warehouse operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in receiving, picking, staging, and loading activities.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve departmental goals while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
- Scheduling & Staffing: Manage daily schedules, assignments, and coverage to meet workload demands and operational priorities.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Communicate effectively with sales, delivery, and administrative teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and issue resolution.
- Inventory Control: Oversee product rotation, verify inventory accuracy, and investigate discrepancies to maintain proper stock levels.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies by conducting regular observations, correcting unsafe behavior, and documenting violations when necessary.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate operational workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings.
- Equipment Oversight: Ensure warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, is inspected, maintained, and safely operated by authorized employees.
- Performance Management: Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action to improve individual and team performance.
- Reporting & Documentation: Review daily reports and key performance indicators to track productivity, safety, and accuracy trends.
- Facility Management: Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and compliance with sanitation and housekeeping standards.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned to support overall warehouse operations and company goals.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations or a supervisory role within a warehousing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey expectations clearly and ensure smooth coordination with other departments.
- Proven ability to manage and evaluate warehouse productivity, ensuring high standards of performance and efficiency.
- Proficient in inventory control and management, with experience in verifying the accuracy of shipments and inventory.
- Skilled in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills, with attention to detail in maintaining accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ability to implement new methods and improvements, demonstrating a proactive approach to operational development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions.
- Demonstrates excellent time management skills and consistently meets deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable, willing to fill in for evening shifts and take on additional duties as needed.
