Telecommunications Project Manager

Applicant must live in the Baton Rouge area.

We are a telecommunications construction project management firm seeking an entry level project manager to join our team The ideal candidate will perform various duties throughout the entire installation process in the telecommunications field which includes everything from site evaluation to close-out of the project.

This candidate must live in the Baton Rouge area and Will WORK From BOTH HOME And ON THE ROAD, visiting sites as needed. A personal, reliable vehicle is required to visit these sites. Fuel will be covered by the company for any site visits. Overnight travel will be necessary at times.

Construction Engineering Technology, Engineering Technician and Construction Management students and graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Review installation drawings for accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently between the client and their vendors to complete the work necessary
  • Work with the client to manage vendors upgrading equipment at various cell sites
  • Plan ahead to minimize vendors down time and delays
  • Work with building owners/landlords on scheduling, access and quickly resolve any issues during construction
  • Work with the customer field techs and third-party vendors to get sites on-air
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of closeout documentation submitted by the vendor
  • Perform various site visits as needed
  • Assist other internal team members on various projects where needed

Qualifications:

  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Highly proficient on computer with experience using Excel, Word, Adobe, Powerpoint, email, and proficient at typing.
  • Familiarity with CAD is a plus.
  • Mac experience preferred
  • Telecommunications experience preferred
  • Construction experience preferred
  • Experienced at reading and understanding construction drawings and documents
  • Home office required
  • Must possess excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Must be detail oriented and have ability to multi-task.
  • Must be organized, a self-starter and be willing to learn.
  • Ability to work with a positive attitude and turn problems into opportunities

Education:

  • Bachelors (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Project management: 1 year (Preferred)
