Job Description
S3000 A high priority, and very visible piece of legislation that is being monitored by both advocates as well as the Bill Sponsors, specifically Assemblyman Benson which included frequent update meetings to keep him and other advocates and providers advised on each step of progress for implementation of this Bill.
This Bill includes the following that without significant increases in quality staffing cannot happen:
- Approximately a 200% percent increase in the sheer number of reports required to be reviews for network adequacy
- Establishment of a Waiver process for each specialty for each county where the MCOs are not able to network adequacy thresholds. For a perspective, conservatively, we are estimating approximately 50 waiver requests for each of the 21 Counties from each of the 5 MCOs. That is~5250 packets of information that will need to be read through to determine if a Waiver will be granted.
- Tracking of the above said waivers
- Reporting of the above said waivers
- Sanctions are now required and will have to be determined for Timeliness, Accuracy, as well as Network Adequacy.
