In this energetic and rewarding position, you will assist bus drivers in managing student behavior, providing necessary support to children with special needs, and creating a positive travel environment. Responsibilities

  • Support bus drivers by monitoring student behavior and maintaining a safe environment on the bus.
  • Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed.
  • Provide additional support to children with special needs, including helping with mobility and communication as required.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote respectful and orderly conduct during transit.
  • Communicate effectively with students, drivers, teachers, and parents to address any concerns or needs.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents using first aid skills when necessary, ensuring student safety at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bus environment, reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of special education needs and behavior management techniques.
  • Ability to perform basic first aid and respond calmly during emergencies.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Experience in classroom or teaching environments is a plus.
  • Demonstrated conflict management skills to handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Reliable transportation and availability during school hours are essential.
