Benefits Category:This is an hourly, non-exempt, position. Benefits eligible if working 30 or more hours per week. PTO eligible if working 35 or more hours per week. ESOP benefits upon meeting plan entry requirements.
Schedule: Part-time afternoon positions available with flexible scheduling (includes every other weekend).
What you will bring to our team:
A CSC must understand the different needs of individuals with disabilities. As a CSC you must have the ability to exercise flexibility and assertiveness, have a positive work ethic, problem solve, and navigate challenging situations effectively. A CSC must also be able to work without direct supervision.
- Possess a valid driver's license and pass a Motor Vehicle Record check.
- Must not be disqualified by criminal background studies.
- Meet the physical requirements as outlined in this position description and physical assessment form (pushing/pulling, lifting, bending, etc.).
- Able to read and write in English.
- Able to document information electronically.
The CSC provides care to individuals served in our community and must understand the different needs of individuals with disabilities. The individuals we serve are vulnerable adults and children in need of support in their daily activities.
The right person for this position would be eager to help in the following areas:
Non-Residential Services:
- Support individuals who live in their own apartment, home or a family members home.
- Promote and teach a variety of independent living skills. Examples include financial management i.e.: balancing checkbooks, accessing the community (grocery store, bank, restaurants, laundry mat, fitness center etc.).
- Assist with completing assessments, providing outcome recommendations, complete progress reports and attend/participate in individual served meetings.
- Assist in orientation and supervision of new staff.
