Responsibilities

Toomey Residential and Community Services is looking for an experienced, high-performing Director of Children's Residential and Community Services to fill a leadership position in the agency. The director is someone who sets high standards for themselves in the delivery of services to youth and strives to promote and develop a skilled and culturally competent workforce. The ideal candidate is strong in supervision and can coach a team of experienced managers towards a high degree of accountability and performance excellence while possessing the ability to think in an integrated capacity across functional program areas.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Work (MSW/LMSW) preferred. Bachelor's in Human services related field and at least five (5) years of experience providing direct supervision of staff and program management. Experience with children and families as well as foster care strongly preferred.   

Skills/Abilities: Basic computer skills, confidentiality, negotiation, knowledge of computer systems, mandated reporting, creative problem solving, oral and written communication skills

Valid N.Y.S. Driver's License, NYS driver's license check, criminal background check, State Central Register Clearance.
