Inventory Control Specialist

Job Purpose
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of the organization's inventory across multiple locations. This role plays a key part in supporting operations, purchasing, and accounting through effective inventory management, audits, and reporting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records across multiple sites.
- Investigate root causes of discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Manage and monitor aged inventory to minimize waste and inefficiency.
- Provide detailed inventory reports to the Purchasing and Accounting teams.
- Conduct frequent spot checks and partial audits of physical inventory, including inventory rotations.
- Lead and manage full physical inventory audits (at least annually).
- Operate forklift trucks as needed to support inventory movement.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Interpersonal & Professional Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of inventory control procedures and processes.
- Proficient in data entry, computerized inventory systems, and keyboarding.
- Highly organized with the ability to work independently.
- Capable of building strong, professional relationships in a team environment.
- Skilled in performing basic math calculations quickly and accurately.
- Dependable: consistent attendance, punctuality, and preparedness.
- Demonstrates initiative, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Open to constructive feedback and dedicated to continuous improvement.
- Collaborative team player who contributes to group success.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Experience using computerized inventory management systems (required).
- Forklift operator certification (preferred).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based with frequent work in cold and warehouse environments.
- May be exposed to wet, damp, or cold conditions, as well as occasional outdoor and manufacturing environments.
Physical Requirements
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
- Frequent standing, walking, and navigating warehouse environments.
- Ability to reach inventory items both high and low.
- Regular use of repetitive hand motions.
- Frequent use of depth perception and occasional use of far vision.
- Active listening skills; hearing protection required in some environments.
- Must be available for training at both the Lebanon and Telford Plants.
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
