Construction Project Manager – Utility-Scale Solar & BESS

We're hiring a
Construction Project Manager
to support EPC and Program Managers on large-scale solar and battery storage projects. This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role focused on safety, scheduling, quality, subcontractor oversight, and full project lifecycle execution from preconstruction through closeout.

You'll be leading the delivery of critical renewable energy builds across the U.S.


What You'll Do:

  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities across solar and battery storage sites
  • Enforce jobsite safety standards and manage project schedule, cost, and quality
  • Lead subcontractor coordination, contract compliance, and change order management
  • Support detailed project planning including staffing, site layout, permitting, and mobilization
  • Interface with clients, suppliers, field teams, and startup/commissioning crews
  • Direct the RFP and bid process, develop scopes, review bids, and make award recommendations
  • Own project documentation including RFIs, submittals, audits, closeout, and claims tracking
  • Track field progress, earned value metrics, and project cost performance
  • Mentor and train field staff, coordinators, and junior project managers
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, licensing, insurance, and permitting requirements


What You'll Bring:

  • B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 7+ years in construction or project management, ideally on large EPC or energy projects
  • Strong command of MS Office; experience with scheduling and document control tools is a plus
  • Ability to lead project teams and juggle multiple concurrent sites
  • Familiarity with safety plans, QA/QC programs, risk reviews, and reporting requirements
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel and work on active construction sites as needed


Nice to Have:

  • Background in solar, BESS, substation, transmission, or heavy civil
  • Knowledge of craft classifications, labor burden, and composite crew rate tracking
  • Experience with project turnover documentation, warranty, and site audits
