As a Machinist, you will be responsible for fabricating metal components using CNC and lathe machines in accordance with blueprints, customer specifications, and written instructions. You will ensure all parts meet quality standards through careful inspection, maintain a safe and organized workspace, and uphold all safety and quality procedures throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to determine material, operation, and dimensional requirements.
  • Set up, operate, and adjust CNC and lathe machines to machine parts to precise specifications.
  • Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal components into subassemblies or complete units using mechanical equipment and hand tools.
  • Measure and verify materials and finished parts using tape measures, calipers, and other precision instruments.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machined components to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Monitor and document production data, including SPC charts, frequency checks, gauging, and measurements.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed and adhere to established quality and safety standards.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S principles at the end of each shift.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience operating CNC and/or lathe machines (required).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficient in the use of measurement tools such as tape measures and calipers.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and documentation.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements (steel-toe boots, safety glasses, etc.).
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks as required.
