Reports to: Fitness Manager in Houston

Your Mission:

Your mission is to lead group fitness sessions across two locations in greater Houston, while providing the highest level of customer service. You will also offer member support from the front desk during desk coverage shifts, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere at each location you step into.

The Legacy You'll Leave:

As a result of your time in this role, you brought joy to hundreds of human beings who work in Houston. You created such deep and meaningful relationships with the building's tenants that they never wanted Playbook to leave. Your legacy brought wellness and peak performance to the masses and turned their building into somewhere they were excited to show up every day.

What You're Responsible For:
  • Group Fitness Programming: Plan and lead group fitness classes throughout two locations in greater Houston- one location is downtown, and one is in the Westchase business district. Have at least two regularly scheduled weekly classes, and be available to be on-call for additional classes as needed. Provide timely and professional communication to members before and after sessions to ensure a hospitality-focused experience.
  • Five-Star Hospitality Service: Ensure a wonderful experience for clients by anticipating their needs and bringing special touches to every session, for example: equipment is prepared ahead of time, towels are placed on mats, and the smallest details of the member experience are attended to.
  • Client Satisfaction and Engagement: Prioritize client satisfaction by actively engaging with the client to understand their needs and preferences. Implement innovative strategies and programs to enhance their experience, fostering a vibrant and connected community that drives long-term loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Team and Operational Support: You will support the Host Team with projects to increase client engagement and member experience.
Who You Are: Baseline Requirements:
  • You have 1+ years experience in a fitness center environment teaching group fitness classes in formats such as Bootcamp, HIIT, core, Pilates, etc. Even better if your experience has touched the corporate fitness or wellness sector.
  • You have a valid Group Fitness certification from a nationally recognized organization.
  • You have an up-to-date CPR and AED certification.
  • You are technologically savvy and can assist members with class and training sign-ups through our native technology as needed.
Who You Are: Key Competencies:
  • Obsessively customer-centric. In previous roles, you have exceeded what customers expected of you, you have an innate hospitality mindset and are happiest when you are serving others.
  • A hyper-organized ball juggler. You stay extremely organized and are constantly reprioritizing your own work because it's what makes you most effective. Everyone refers to you as a stellar multi-tasker.
  • You are a stellar communicator. You are known for clearly communicating your points - whether in email or verbally. In this role you'll be communicating a lot about bookings (both coordinating them and confirming), sending vendor communications, and engaging with different levels of tenants (office managers to C-Suite).
