You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job could involve driving around warehouses, storage spaces and other facilities.  You must be responsible and have solid experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. This role reports to the Area Manager who also serves as the backup for this role.What you'll do: Operate a forklift, electric pallet jack, pacer or other machinery used for transporting or shipping goods. Load, unload, pack, and unpack stock of product or pallets from incoming vehicles.  Transport, retrieve and/or relocate stock of product or pallets to workstations or other assigned locations within the warehouse.  Label and sort incoming and outgoing shipments. Monitor and maintain inventory of incoming and outgoing items. Inspecting equipment before and after use to ensure it's in good working order. Identifying damages and reporting shortages or quality deficiencies.   Cleaning equipment after use and disposing of any collected scraps or waste. Carefully handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials whenever necessary. Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.   This role includes responsibility for ensuring products are handled, stored, and distributed in a manner that maintains their safety, quality, and legality.
