Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Residential Recycling Route Driver to join our team. This role involves operating various types of trucks to efficiently collect recyclable materials from residential areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of vehicle operation, safety protocols, and customer service. Prior experience with commercial driving and different truck types is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to environmental sustainability while working in a dynamic and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials efficiently, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed
  • Conduct routine inspections of vehicles before and after routes to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
  • Navigate residential neighborhoods using GPS and route maps to ensure timely pickups
  • Maintain accurate records of collections and route completion
  • Perform heavy lifting as required to load recyclable materials into trucks
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during daily operations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding route progress or issues

Experience

  • Have A minimum of a chauffeur's license we do prefer a class B CDL.
  • Must Have A clean driving record.
  • Delivery driver experience involving load & unload procedures is advantageous
  • Mechanical knowledge related to truck maintenance and troubleshooting is beneficial
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
  • Prior experience with heavy lifting and working in outdoor environments preferred

This role requires a dedicated individual capable of managing physically demanding tasks while maintaining high safety standards. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and possess excellent driving skills.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
