We are seeking an Environmental Investigation & Remediation Scientist to join our Bartlett, TN team Come join us
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performance of site investigations to support environmental projects, including the collection of samples and environmental data.
- Conduct and document field activities such as soil, soil vapor and groundwater sampling, installation of soil borings and monitoring wells, and tank excavations and/or removals.
- Management and analysis of sampling data, including summary tables, result interpretation, and sample location maps.
- Assisting clients with a variety of environmental, health, and safety needs, including environmental regulatory compliance, environmental permitting, industrial hygiene, and health and safety matters.
- Preparing technical reports including but not limited to proposals, work plans, environmental reports, permit applications, and health & safety plans.
- Organizing and prioritize a diverse workload; maintain accurate records.
Minimum requirements:
- BS in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
- 0-4 years of related environmental consulting experience, TN-specific experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively on multiple assignments, prioritizing and delegating activities, and delivering on tight deadlines.
- Capable of working independently, under direct supervision of others, and in a team-orientated environment.
- Valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
- Commitment to safety.
Technical requirements:
- Microsoft PC applications; WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint
- Strong technical, analytical, and research skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Preferred 40-Hour Hazwoper
Other miscellaneous qualities:
- Ability for overnight travel (typically in-state) as needed (average 20-25%).
- Local Travel up to 2-3 hrs multiple times per week.
- Ability to perform moderately strenuous tasks.
- Ability to work independently in rural and metro environments.
Compensation:
$25 - $32 hourly
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
