Job Summary

The Transportation Driver for Hope Cancer Resources provides safe, reliable and compassionate transportation for cancer patients traveling to and from medical appointments, treatments, and related healthcare services. This role requires professionalism, empathy, and compassionate commitment to patients and their loved ones.

Job Details

You will need to safely transport cancer patients to and from appropriate medical facilities.

You will consistently be using a GPS, reading street maps, and checking satellite maps.

You will provide minimal assistance to patients in and out of company vehicles at their residence or at the medical facility. Vans are not wheelchair accessible, so this assistance is not required.

You will maintain a supportive, respectful, and compassionate attitude toward all patients.

You will need to build good relationships with patients, family members, caregivers, outside vendors, medical providers and Hope Cancer Resources staff.

You will adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.

You will record trip data using scheduling software on provided company smart phone.

Other duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation Services or the VP of Patient Services.

What you will bring:

Belief in the mission, vision and values of Hope Cancer Resources.

High School diploma or equivalent.

CDL is not required.

Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Report.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience in patient transport, healthcare or customer service preferred.

Must be able to pass background and drug screenings.

Working Conditions

Position is driving a late model Honda Odyssey van carrying 1-2 passengers most of the time.

Position may involve local or regional travel.

Position has a flexible schedule: early mornings and late evenings may be required.

Capability of sitting and/or driving for extended periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week
