DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Your primary responsibility in this position will be development within the various Oracle systems utilized by the PLCB. You will act as a subject matter expert for Oracle Commerce Cloud and the related subsystems and provide daily operational support of Oracle Commerce Cloud (OCC), Oracle Integration 3 (OIC), Oracle Server Side Extension (SSE) and extranet environments. For each assigned project you will be expected to assess feasibility, set priorities in coordination with management, and ensure that developed business solutions meet the full scope, requirements, and purpose of the assignment.

Your role will involve developing code as assigned, debugging code, and giving input to aid in design solutions. Work is accomplished individually or as part of a team, depending on the complexity of the project in question. This includes peer review for code changes, taking defects and request form the business as a team, and conducting testing. Your work will also include competing documentation within the code and in the agency's change management system.

At times, new enhancements and integrations to other systems are requested or mandated. Your and your team's response to these changes will involve researching and evaluating products to determine their viability for use by the PLCB. Our team will rely on you to effectively communicate your observations and findings to a variety of staff members with various technical skill levels. In addition, you will integrate any new systems selected into the Oracle Suite, which may require programming changes.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Computer Programmer 3 (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of information technology experience that includes two years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or
  • Two years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
  • A bachelor's degree in any information technology field.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credit.
