About the Role

Are you a reliable professional who enjoys being on the road and providing great service? Off The Dock Seafood is looking for a dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. As the face of our company, you will ensure that our high-quality, fresh seafood reaches our restaurant and retail partners safely and on time.

This isn't just a driving job; it's about maintaining the cold chain, building relationships with local chefs, and ensuring the "catch of the day" stays at peak quality from our warehouse to the kitchen door.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safe Transportation: Operate company vehicles (typically refrigerated box trucks) safely and efficiently following all traffic laws and safety protocols.
  • Timely Deliveries: Navigate optimized routes to ensure all customers receive their orders within their designated delivery windows.
  • Product Quality Control: Monitor and maintain the temperature of the refrigerated unit; ensure seafood remains iced and properly stored during transit.
  • Customer Service: Act as a professional brand ambassador. Check in orders with customers, handle invoices, and communicate any delivery discrepancies to the office.
  • Loading & Unloading: Assist in loading the truck to ensure weight distribution is safe and unloading orders (using dollies or hand trucks) at various customer sites.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; keep the vehicle clean and report any mechanical issues immediately.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Licensing: Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (MVR). [Specify if CDL Class B is required or if a standard license is sufficient].
  • Experience: Previous experience in professional driving or food distribution is highly preferred.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50–75 lbs regularly in a cold/wet environment.
  • Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, "can-do" attitude.
  • Reliability: Early morning availability (shifts often start between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM) and a proven track record of punctuality.
