JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst II performs more complex financial analysis, budget analysis, and related fiscal functions for a large and diverse hospital service line/department or is responsible for coordinating a major budget/financial analysis program in the Hospital Finance Department. Duties include financial planning, forecasting and modeling, budget development, performance monitoring and management reporting. This role operates with moderate independence and regularly partners with operational leaders.

  • Assists in the preparation of operational budget; reviews and analyzes departmental budget requests.
  • Maintains liaison with departmental business managers and administrative staff in the preparation and analysis of financial reports to provide information and to resolve problems concerning variances from approved budget.
  • Assists with monitoring budget expenditures and prepares reports and analyses to management setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
  • Assists with analysis and preparation of various financial reports for both internal use and as required for external agencies.
  • Prepares and/or processes financial transactions for assigned department(s)/business cycle.
  • Reconciles financial transactions and assists in issues resolution of transactions for assigned department(s)/business cycle.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university.

Experience:
Four (4) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of budgeting and finance including the analysis and reporting of financial data.

Pay Range
Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.

Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $43.56 to $57.77
