What you'll do
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Perform clinical tasks such as IV infusion, catheterization, wound care, and specimen collection while adhering to safety protocols.
- Educate patients and their families about health management, medication administration, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
- Participate in triage processes to assess patient conditions and prioritize care effectively.
- Support patients with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and other specialized needs.
Basic qualifications
- Valid LPN license in accordance with state regulations.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and nursing practices.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in critical care settings such as ICU or emergency medicine.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
- Background in long-term care facilities or assisted living environments.
- Proficiency in acute pain management techniques and patient assessment skills.
