Kilte Collection is a rapidly growing luxury knitwear brand, and we are thrilled to announce the opening of our very first retail store on Montana Ave.

We are looking for a highly motivated, brand-aligned leader to join us as our
Assistant Store Manager

. This is a truly unique, hands-on role where you lead our opening team. You will be directly responsible for the store's launch, daily operations, and establishing our premium client experience.

The ideal candidate will embody the Kilte brand and possess a proven track record of nurturing a dedicated client book and mastering all aspects of luxury retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Client Development & Sales Leadership

  2. Establish and Nurture a Client Book: Proactively identify, engage, and build lasting, one-on-one relationships with clientele to acquire new Kilte customers and drive repeat business.

  3. Deliver Elevated Service: Ensure every client interaction reflects the highest standards of luxury, brand knowledge, and personalized styling.
  4. Achieve Sales Targets: Meet and exceed individual and store sales goals by driving both walk-in and appointment-based traffic.
  5. Build Community: Assist in planning and executing in-store events, trunk shows, and outreach initiatives to grow the store's local following.

  6. Operational Excellence & Store Management

  7. Hands-On Daily Operations: Establish and oversee all essential functions of the store, including inventory management, visual merchandising, POS transactions, loss prevention, and cleanliness.

  8. Scheduling and Team Oversight: Manage the daily schedule for yourself and the team to ensure adequate sales floor coverage and operational flow.
  9. Maintain Brand Standards: Ensure the store's visual presentation and back-of-house organization meet Kilte's standards at all times.

  10. Team Leadership & Brand Stewardship (The Leader)

  11. Team Training: Mentor and coach the team on product knowledge, sales techniques, and operational requirements.

  12. Communication: Act as the primary liaison between the retail location and the corporate/e-commerce team, providing daily feedback on sales, inventory, and customer insights.
  13. Cultivate a Positive Environment: Foster an engaging, collaborative, and professional working atmosphere that motivates the small team.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in luxury or high-end apparel retail, such as an Assistant Store Manager, Floor Manager, or Lead Client Advisor.
  • Clienteling Expertise: Demonstrable success in building and maintaining a personal client base and driving significant repeat sales through outreach and relationship management.
  • Brand Alignment: A genuine appreciation for the Kilte ethos, with an understanding of the Montana Ave demographic.
  • Operational Skills: High comfort level with managing all facets of store operations, including inventory systems, POS software, and administrative duties in a hands-on capacity.
  • Location: Must be local to or able to commute reliably to the Santa Monica area.
  • Leadership Style: Proactive, self-motivated, adaptable, and a natural problem-solver who thrives in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
