Energy
team is seeking an
Electrical Designer
in the
Puget Sound Region
.
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Design of electrical systems including main service and distribution, standby power, general power, and circuiting etc.
- Design and produce drawings suitable for construction with sufficient detail based on engineer input including verbal and written instructions and drawing upon previous work and a library of electronic and hard-copy reference material.
- Understand and comply with both client-specific and DEA CAD standards and preferences.
- Implement file management procedures to organize and maintain electronic drawing files.
- Communicate effectively with the other drafting and design staff and clients
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as an electrical designer or equivalent.
- Proficient in AutoCAD with working knowledge in the other CAD applications (MicroStation, Revit) preferred.
- Must demonstrate strong ethical behavior while striving to produce quality work within project budgets and schedules.
- Must understand the value of client satisfaction.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter, be a highly motivated team player, and able to work under time constraints.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task on several design projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of lighting.
- Basic knowledge of data cabling, fire alarms, CCTV, and access control.
- Ability to provide quality control of others' work.
- Ability to modify technical specifications as needed.
- Understanding of national, Washington state, and local electrical codes.
