As a Senior Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Cybersecurity and Tech Controls, you will play a crucial role as part of an agile team dedicated to delivering software solutions that meet pre-defined functional and user requirements while also safeguarding against misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Your expertise and contributions will promote significant business impact, as you apply your deep technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to address a wide range of cybersecurity challenges across various technology domains.

Job responsibilities

  • Facilitates security requirements clarification for multiple networks to enable multi-level security to satisfy organizational needs
  • Works with stakeholders and senior business leaders to recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability
  • Be responsible for triaging based on risk assessments of various threats and managing resources to cover impact of disruptive events 
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on Security Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Skilled in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise-level security solutions
  • Proficient in AI/ML techniques and skilled in advanced analytics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI/ML, such as Python, R, Java, and C++.
  • Strong Database skills with Oracle & DynamoDB and experience in tuning database queries, processing large amount of data.
  • Able to design and implement solutions that work against high-volume data sources. 
  • Practical experience of architecting & developing applications on any one of the major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure) 
  • Extensive experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight 
  • Practical cloud native experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Java, Kubernetes and AWS certification is a plus.
  • Good experience on writing unit tests in Java and React JS for a highly complex enterprise environment. 
  • Proven experience with modern frontend framework and libraries such as React is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab for automating software delivery
