We are seeking a Head of Liquidity Solutions to build and lead our liquidity strategy. This role will focus on structuring, and executing secondary transactions and other liquidity opportunities across Soma Capital's portfolio. The goal is to unlock DPI for our LPs while maintaining strong alignment with founders and maximizing long-term value creation.

This individual will prepare and present proposed secondary transactions to Soma's Investment Committee for approval. The role requires a strong mix of transactional expertise, investor judgment, and entrepreneurial drive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liquidity Strategy & Execution
  • Identify, evaluate and present liquidity opportunities across the existing Soma portfolio.
  • Build and manage relationships with secondary buyers, institutional investors, and strategic acquirers.
  • Negotiate deal structures and terms, and execute sale processes.
  • Stakeholder Alignment
  • Present transactions to Soma's Investment Committee, including clear analysis, risks, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Soma's partners to ensure transparency with LPs on realized outcomes.
  • Market Intelligence & Infrastructure
  • Track market dynamics, pricing benchmarks, and transaction structures in the secondary markets.
  • Build a scalable internal process for evaluating and executing secondary transactions.

Qualifications

  • 5 – 10 years of total experience including 2 - 3 working on a deal team executing secondary transactions with experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or growth equity prior to that.
  • Direct experience structuring and executing secondary deals or similar liquidity events.
  • Strong transactional skill set (financial modeling, negotiation, legal / commercial terms).
  • Excellent judgment in balancing liquidity, relationships, and long-term value creation.
  • Self-starter mentality: ability to operate independently and build a new function from scratch.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill complex transactions into clear recommendations for an investment committee.

Pay: $200, $250,000.00 per year
