We are a dermatology office looking for a medical assistant/scribe to assist our providers in dermatological procedures, scribe for the physicians and provide excellent patient care. Job duties include:

  • Documenting in the medical records (both electronic and paper)
  • Assisting in surgery
  • Assisting with biopsies and other procedures
  • Performing suture removals
  • Cleaning exam rooms after each patient visit
  • Rooming patients
  • Filing charts
  • Setting up surgery rooms
  • Scheduling patients
  • Sterilizing instruments
  • Printing, entering, and calling on pathology results
  • Preparing chart reviews
  • Stocking exam rooms
  • Unpacking supply deliveries
  • Organizing samples in the sample room
  • Coordinating with other facilities for referring patients
  • Sending referral letters
  • Assisting in the training of any new employees
  • Contributing to the overall team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed, such as answering phone calls and taking payments
  • Performing other tasks as directed by management

EMR experience is preferred.

Clinical experience is preferred.

Certification preferred but not required.
