- Develop communications plans for new initiatives
- Write and edit communications and marketing materials
- Provide internal communications consultations with stakeholders
- Participate in the content development of marketing and communications materials for client accounts
- Support emergency and crisis communications by drafting required communications materials
- Provide leadership and create communications strategies for all employee-facing communications
- Provide executives with communications support and counsel for ministry priorities, and create integrated communications strategies and plans to support them
- Create content for social media channels
- Proofread and fact-check communications and marketing materials
- Ensure that all communications materials adhere to corporate communications policies and branding standards
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, IT, HR) to ensure alignment of messaging and branding across platforms.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics (e.g., engagement rates, open rates, SEO performance) to assess effectiveness and inform future strategies.
- Maintain and update internal communication channels (I.E. newsletters)
- Manage content calendars for campaigns and social media to ensure timely and consistent messaging.
- Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in all communications, adapting materials for diverse audiences.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in communications, marketing, and digital media.
- Maintain archives of communications materials, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with documentation standards.
- Participate in crisis communication planning and drills, helping refine protocols and messaging strategies.
- Two-year degree from an accredited university or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in internal or external Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related role.
- Experience in writing, editing, and proofreading professional communications.
- Familiarity with digital communication platforms and tools
- Exposure to Social Media strategy and analytics.
- Experience collaborating across departments and managing multiple communication channels.
- Communication Management Professional (CMP)
- Social Media Marketing Certification
- Ability to write on complex, specialized topics.
- Ability to transform technical content into engaging materials for diverse audiences.
- Proofread and fact-checking for clarity and accuracy.
- Ability to tailor messages to different audiences.

- This position requires an active commitment to the mission, values, and doctrinal stance of SMI. While performing job duties, the staff member will act in a manner that is Christ-honoring as well as Christ-like, demonstrating a personal Christian faith and witness in all interpersonal interactions. The categories listed below detail the required conduct of all Samaritan Ministries' staff members.
- Tasks are normally conducted in a regular office environment, requiring use of computer, mouse, drawing tablet, and other standard office equipment. Staff usually remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Staff will observe safety principles while performing the duties of the position.
- Staff may be required to travel and have a valid driver's license.
- This position requires an active commitment to the mission and values of SMI. In the course of performing job duties, the employee will act in a manner that is Christ-honoring as well as Christ-like, demonstrating a personal Christian faith and witness in all interpersonal interactions.

Pay Range: $48, $69, Starting pay usually falls within the lower half of the pay range and is determined by experience, skills, and education.
