Warehouse Lead (E-commerce Plant Fulfillment)

Location: San Antonio, TX (On-site)

Type: Full-time

We're looking for a hands-on Warehouse Lead to keep our assembly line humming—pushing pace, maintaining standards, and keeping pallets and pick lines replenished so orders fly out the door. You'll report to the Warehouse/Nursery Supervisor and lead a crew of laborers on your shift.

What you'll do

  • Lead the line: Set pace, assign stations, run start-of-shift huddles, and keep quality + throughput on target.
  • Replenishment & material flow: Operate forklift/pallet jack to stage and replenish pallets, pots, soil, and pack materials; clear dunnage.
  • Quality & plant care: Enforce gentle handling, correct packing, heat/cold-pack usage, and hydration standards to reduce DOA.
  • Inventory touchpoints: Spot counts, bin moves, update low-stock flags, and report variances to the Supervisor.
  • Training & safety: Train new team members on SOPs, scanners, and PPE; uphold OSHA/5S; escalate hazards and incidents.
  • Problem-solve in real time: Unblock chokepoints, call for runners/replen, and escalate equipment or system issues quickly.
  • Systems & tools: Use scanners/WMS, shipping software, and label/scale printers; keep workstations tidy and audit-ready.

What you'll bring

  • 1–3+ years in warehouse/fulfillment; line lead or crew lead experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to coach and hold a team accountable on pace and quality.
  • Forklift experience (certified or willing to certify); strong pallet handling and staging skills.
  • Comfortable with basic inventory tasks, scanning workflows, and Google Sheets/Excel.
  • Able to lift 50 lb and work on your feet in warm/cool conditions.
  • Spanish bilingual a plus (many teammates are Spanish-speaking).
  • Plant handling experience is a bonus, not required.

Metrics you'll impact

  • Lines picked/packed per hour, order accuracy, on-time ship rate, DOA/returns, and replen response time.

Schedule

  • Full-time, on-site; typical Mon–Fri with seasonal/weekend surge support.
