We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer with a strong software engineering background and a passion for building efficient, scalable data solutions. In this role, you'll design and develop data structures and pipelines that power analytics, applications, and decision-making across the business. You'll work with a modern data stack, including Databricks and Microsoft Azure, to support our transition toward a Lakehouse architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures for both structured and unstructured data.
  • Normalize databases and ensure data structures align with application and business requirements.
  • Combine and transform raw data from multiple sources into clean, consistent, and machine-readable datasets.
  • Support the evolution oSoutf our data platform from traditional relational systems to modern Lakehouse architectures.
  • Build and optimize datasets that enable efficient analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and performance.
  • Continuously improve data engineering practices, tools, and processes to enhance system scalability and reliability.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience manipulating and engineering data in a software engineering capacity.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and data modeling principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks and Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency in tools and frameworks such as Spark, Hive, and Airflow.
  • Experience designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with both relational database systems and Lakehouse architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Python or Scala for data engineering tasks.
  • Exposure to data governance and metadata management practices.
