JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: PROJECT ACCOUNTANT

LOCATION: Auburn Hills, MI

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 30% - 50% (Michigan / Ohio / Indiana)

OBJECTIVE

CCC is seeking a self-starting, deadline-driven and detail-oriented individual who will provide support for all accounting and administrative duties related to assigned project(s). The Project Accountant will provide support to the Corporate Controller with various tasks such as payroll, billing, accounts payable, profitability tracking and other accounting related tasks.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Billing preparation and analysis
  • Prepare and review monthly profitability analysis
  • Daily expense tracking and approval
  • Document management
  • Payroll entry/verification/certified payroll
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of subcontracts and purchase order agreements
  • Review and approve various job-related invoices
  • Work with the Corporate Controller and Project Manager to keep accounts receivables current on project(s)
  • Monthly job health reporting
  • Assist with additional tasks assigned by manager

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • SAGE300 ERP experience required.
  • Outlook suite experience (heavy on Excel) required.
  • Procore experience is a plus.
  • Analytical skills with predictive analysis.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Efficient with data entry and accuracy.
  • Multi-tasking proficiency.
  • Understanding of the construction industry and union requirements is a plus.
  • Associate degree or higher, Accounting or Business Administration; OR Minimum 1-3 years of experience in project accountant type role or similar position, with high school diploma.
  • Willingness to travel from jobsite to jobsite to review and analyze job cost analysis.
