RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prep extrusions and parts for the finishing process.
• Apply finish to parts in the Company's Liquid Spray Booth (utilizing HVLP Equipment) and Powder Coat Booth.
• Mix paint, as needed, to ensure the paint color adheres to the customer's order and quality standards.
• Finish the Company's custom structures and operable door and window systems, adhering to quality and production standards.
• Inspect all surfaces for cracks, holes, or dents prior to painting, and notify the Finishing Leadership of any problems or issues.
• Visually check finished parts ensuring proper coverage, free of runs, orange peel, scratches, dings, and dents.
• Operate the Company's powder coating equipment, including the dip tank, and powder guns.
• Document test results, material usage, and spray loss, informing Finishing Leadership of any issues.
• Complete all required documentation daily (paint and powder log books, titration, test requirements, quality forms, etc.).
• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:  

• This role is for internal candidates (Solar Innovations Associates) only
• Previous Finishing/Paint Experience and/or Education required
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 – 3 Years of paint and/or powder coating experience
• Previous experience working in a paint booth
• Experience with HVLP paint equipment
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, and/or industrial painting is ideal
