Technology team
has 6 different departments: Information Security, Service Delivery, Business Enabling Systems, eCommerce & Marketing Technology, Data and Stores, Services & Supply Chain.

About the Location
Collaborative Work Environment
At PetSmart, teamwork and connection are core to how we thrive. This role is based at our Phoenix Home Office, with an expectation of working a minimum of four days in the office each week. In a standard work week, associates may work up to one remote "flex day" (with leader approval). Our hybrid approach is designed to foster strong collaboration while also supporting flexibility and individual success.
About The Job
Position: Lead Platform Owner
Design and lead implementation for platform initiatives working closely with Managers, Product Owners, and solution architects to develop the strategy, roadmap, prioritization, development, and platform maintenance. The position is responsible for pipeline orchestration including security settings and test automation, and for maintaining a current understanding of the vendor's platform roadmap. Responsible for: 1) optimizing processes and maturing of SAFe best practices; 2) monitoring industry trends to provide insights and recommendations for the roadmap; 3) resolving roadblocks for product owners and scrum teams when necessary; 4) working closely with business stakeholders and product owners/managers to ensure the delivery of valuable, high-quality products; 5) serving as a point of escalation for Operational incidents; and 6) acting as a subject matter expert on technologies and trends in domain of expertise.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or a related field and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience working as a platform lead, developer, or technical analyst. Must also have 5 years of experience with each of the following: 1) Designing, developing, testing, and deploying web and eCommerce enterprise applications using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), Commercetools, CSS3, JavaScript, and GA/GTM technologies; 2) Developing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise platform solutions for availability, redundancy, scalability, performance, and security; 3) Configuration, integration, and troubleshooting of enterprise systems, including payment gateways, middleware, backend APIs, and third-party applications; 4) Defining and executing enterprise platform strategies, developing technology roadmaps, influencing feature prioritization, and development and maintenance of platforms; and 5) Leading system operations and technical support processes, serving as the primary point of contact for support tickets, maintenance tasks, and technical issue resolution.
