Overview

In this role, you will work closely with our engineering team to design, prototype, and test new optomechanical systems and product features that will be implemented in our commercial measurement tools. You will gain hands-on experience owning a design project and to contribute to the development of products that will accelerate the clean energy transition.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering team to design new products using CAD software
  • Create 3D models and 2D drawings of parts and assemblies (SolidWorks)
  • Participate in design reviews to provide feedback and suggest improvements
  • Assist in the fabrication and assembly of prototypes
  • Conduct testing and analysis of prototypes to evaluate performance and identifyareas for improvement
  • Assist in the development of manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Document designs, test results, and other relevant information

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and take on ownership of a project
  • Excellent communication and willingness to work on a team
  • Prior experience with 3D printing, machining, or other fabrication methods is a plus
