Job Summary

The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within our facility, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally. This role requires a strong leader with extensive knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as experience in facilities management. The Maintenance Director will manage a team of maintenance staff, implement preventive maintenance programs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the maintenance team to ensure efficient operations and high-quality performance.
  • Develop and implement maintenance management strategies to optimize equipment reliability and performance.
  • Oversee the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and inventory.
  • Manage HVAC systems, ensuring they are maintained and serviced according to industry standards.
  • Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting and maintaining automated systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support in mechanical and electrical maintenance, including high voltage and low voltage systems.
  • Review schematics to diagnose problems effectively and implement solutions promptly.
  • Manage projects related to facility upgrades or repairs, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
  • Maintain documentation related to maintenance activities, including reports on equipment performance and repairs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in management within a maintenance or facilities management role.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and CMMS software.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal.
  • Previous supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating an ability to lead diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to high voltage and low voltage electrical systems. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks while maintaining a focus on quality and safety standards within the facility.

Job Type: Full-time
