Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, contributing to inventory management, order fulfillment, and overall warehouse organization. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to operate various types of equipment safely.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks for loading and unloading materials.
  • Perform picking and packing of orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems for tracking inventory.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely processing of goods.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
  • Participate in training sessions for new equipment or procedures as needed.

Skills

  • Proficient in inventory management and control techniques.
  • Experience with warehouse distribution processes and systems.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including forklifts, cranes, and order pickers.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and materials handling tasks safely.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of packaging standards and procedures.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations.
  • Competency in using AS400 or similar warehouse management systems is a plus.
